Club sponsors several dual sport events each year, co-sponsors the Green Marble Enduro and sponsors a vintage and modern observed trials. Club assists with maintainence a series of trails in the George Washington National Forest near Edinburg, Va. which is open to the public. NVTR members can ride for reduced fees at The Cove campground in Gore, Va. which has a series of trails (and limitless trials potential). NVTR meets monthly in Northern Virginia.

Club has a large riding area near Waldorf, Md. which is limited to members only. There is a practice MX track and several miles of nice gentle trails.
Public Riding Areas:
Tasker's Gap, Edinburg, Va.; George Washington National Forest - public. Many miles of trails and jeep/logging roads are available to motorcycles and ATVs. Helmets required, bikes not required to be street legal. Forest rules require that you stay on marked trails. And for all you high rollers, it's FREE!! Directions: I-81 south of Winchester to Edinburg exit; drive into town and turn left on Rte.11; Right on Rte. 675 and drive up into mountains. Taskers Gap parking area is on the right and marked. NVTR club has cut several 5-7 mile loops of riding trail at the Cove campground ranging from intermediate to "A" level. The Cove is open to the public for a daily fee ($20) on weekends in the Spring and Fall (but not during the summer camping season). NVTR members get reduced daily fees and an expanded use availability schedule. Directions: 12 miles off Interstate 81 on Rt 50 west. From exit 317 on I-81, take Rt 37 south to Rt 50. Take Rt 50 west approximately 8 miles to Gore, Va. Turn left on Rt 751 and 1/2 mile, turn left on Rt 704. Take Rt 704 for 4-1/2 miles to Rt 683. Take Rt 683 for 1/2 mile to the Cove entrance. Follow the Cove road for one mile to the Cove Lake and the Cove Headquarters. (You can follow signs for the Boy Scout camp which is next to the Cove.)
